Review: OUAI Volume Shampoo and Conditioner

OUAI is one of the super hyped hair care brand and everybody who tried their hair care products seems to fall in love with them. I was naturally curios to try them and since I am always looking at adding some extra volume to my hair I decided to give a try to Volume Shampoo and Volume Conditioner. After testing it for few weeks, these are my thoughts.

The good: First of all, the packing is very impressive, beautiful and expensive looking. Something you would expect from such a premium brand. I also like that the bottle of conditioner is smaller compared to the shampoo one. We all know the struggle of going through the bottle of shampoo and still having loads of conditioner left.

Both products have very lovely scent. The shampoo smells very nice but it is much softer than the conditioner which is very potent and lingers in your hair till the next time you wash it. The only thing that keeps me wondering is if using such fragranced hair care products could be very drying or damaging to my hair.

Not so good: After the first use I absolutely hated the conditioner, it left me feeling like my whole body was coated in weird film (kind of waxing texture), my normal body lotion was not sinking in to my skin at all. I don't really understand how or why this happened. Also the scent was very overwhelming and not in a positive way. I got used to it after few uses and it kind of grew on me.

My experience got better with both products after using it for a longer time, maybe my hair needed to adjust to new products. But to be completely honest, I am not a big fan of these two products. My hair feels nice but I do not see any improvement in the volume and to have such an expensive hair products I expect much more. You know the way everybody talks and loves OUAI products I was just really disappointed. I will still finished them cause they are not cheap, but I will not repurchase them.

Have you guys try any OUAI products? What was your experience?

Online Beauty Haul

Online Beauty Haul Glambeautytalks

Today I am back with another haul for you guys. The place I ordered from is feelunique.com which is an awesome online shop with free international delivery and I use it to get most of my beauty products as they have a lot of brands which are not easily accessible where I live.

They were having a sale recently so I placed my order and it just arrived so I though that I would share what I bought with you. Most of these are first time purchases so I am really excited to see how will they work. I will also link all the mentioned products in case you would be interested to try them yourself.

The first thing is Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution . I am a big fan of Kiehl's products in general and I heard great things about this solution. Since I am trying to reduce my hyperpigmentation I thought I would give it a try.

I also bought the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream which I thought would be a great lightweight base coming into warmer months and it also has an SPF 15 which is a added bonus. I would report back on how I like it.

Another makeup product I picked up is Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in the lightest shade to highlight and conceal. I like the Wake Me Up range from Rimmel and this is no exception. Give it a try if you are looking for creamy inexpensive concealer.

Next I picked up Aveda Daily Light Guard Defense Fluid which I believe is a newer addition to their range. It is supposed to be great if you live in the city as it helps to protect your skin from pollution as well as from the sun.

I also picked up Trilogy Rosehip Oil Antioxidant cause I heard all the great benefits rosehip oil has for your skin and hair and I wanted to give it a try.

The last but not least I have ordered Fushi Stimulator Lotion for hair. It's packed with herbs like Rosemary, Lavender and Bay to help stimulate circulation in the scalp and encourage the growth of new hair.

That wraps it up for my haul. I am really excited to test some of these products and see how they perform. Let me know if you would like to see any specific review.

March Favorites ❖ 2016

3LAB Healthy Glow Lip Balm, La Roche-Possay Effaclar Duo, Nivea Wind and Weather Cream, Neutrogena Visibly Renew,Macademia No Tangle Brush, Tweezerman ProMaster Lash Curler, Sephora Travalo, Foreo Luna Mini2

This blog post are my favorite beauty products over the course of the past month. This month has been full of traveling and weather changing so my favorites are a bit different than usual but I hope you like them. I have quite a lot of products to go through so just get cozy and read away.

If you follow my blog for a while now, you probably know that I love Neutrogena body care. I raved about their Nordic Berry line here. Lately I have been obsessed with their new-ish launch: Norwegian Formula Visibly Renew Elasti-Boost Body Lotion.  It not only smells divine, but it also absorb super fast and keeps your skin hydrated and happy even if you have a very dry skin. And I can honestly say that I can see my skin more tight and smooth and that is always a big plus.

I have 2 skin care favorites which are completely on the opposite side of the spectrum. The first one is Effaclar Duo from La Roche-Possay. This is an absolutely miracle worker that I used to use few years ago and I rediscovered this month. I have been struggling with severe breakouts on my cheek (yes one cheek, how random) for months and I even went to dermatologist which was not really helpful. But this treatment completely cleared out my skin. I just wished I had remembered how much I loved it sooner cause it could have saved so much trouble for my skin. I couldn't recommend it more and it's definitely a staple on my skin care shelf.

The another face product that I have been loving is Nivea Baby Wind and Weather Cream for face. This was actually a recommendation from my friend a few years ago as a great winter cream if you either go skiing or just live in a place where it gets super cold, snowy and windy. It is a very thick cream which I would normally avoid but as I said for skiing it's simply the best. And it smells like a baby :)

3LAB Healthy Glow Lip Balm is an expensive lip balm. Very expensive lip balm and I was a bit hesitant to talk about it, but it has been in March that it became an essential product for me. It stays nicely on lips, has a soft buttery texture which applies like heaven and gives the most beautiful natural glossy tint to your lips. I have been wearing just this on my lips all month and I love it.

I have been using the No Tangle Brush from Macadamia for years now, and I still love it so much. It's the only brush I ever use to be honest, I take it everywhere with me. It super gentle and it never pulls my hair out. I have quite thin hair but a lot and this is hands down the best hair brush I ever used.

I've always used drugstore eyelash curlers before I had been given the Tweezerman ProMaster Lash Curler one by my mom and I must say that this has change my eyelash game. This lash curler has an extra wide opening which is great if you have bigger eyes and it makes it so easy to catch all your lashes without pinching the sensitive skin in the area. It really works with my eye shape and makes the whole process of curling eyelashes quicker and more effective.

Sephora by Travalo is an essential for traveling. You simply fill it up with your favorite perfume and don't have to worry about bringing the full size glass bottle of your fragrance with you. It saves space in the already restricted on board liquids allowed items bag and it's super easy to use.

The newest addition to my skin care routine is Foreo Luna Mini 2. As I mentioned earlier I have bee having some issues with my skin and I think that is the combination of using my Effaclar Duo treatment and Luna Mini 2 that really made the difference. It's basically a sonic facial cleansing brush, that is silicone so it's easier to clean and you don't need to change the brush heads. I found that my skin has cleared out so much after I introduced this to me skin care routine and it's almost like a little facial at the end of each day.

If you would like to see more in-depth review on any of the products, let me know. And also tell me what were your most loved beauty products in March.

Review: F.A.B Ultra Repair Oatmeal Mask

I love face masks. Taking 10 minutes of any ordinary day and treating myself to pampering session and forgetting everything around. Okay, maybe this mask isn't magical and it won't make you forget all your problems, but it's pretty magical for your skin: The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Oatmeal Mask.
