You've seen it before and unless you have been snoozing under a rock you are familiar with the newest addition to the Sunday Riley family of miracles. Everyone who tried it swears to see results after the first use so I was very curios to give it a try myself.
First of all, the packaging is stunning. And if you decide to keep the box it comes in, it's like a little gift you get to open each time you use it. The product itself comes in a glass blue bottle with a small droplet to dose the oil. Gorgeous.
Luna is a oil-based retinol product, a rare and amazing mix made in heaven. It promises to reduce pore size, smooth first lines and improve imperfections of damaged skin which let's be honest, are quite big claims.
The star of ingredients is Blue Tansy, a flower which has antibacterial, antihistamine, and general anti-inflammatory properties. The base is a beautiful mix of organic, cold-pressed oils of Extra Virgin Avocado Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Blackberry Seed Oil and Chia Oil. All sounds great and stuff but the disappointment comes when you realize it also contains two colorants, oh why? Supposedly these had been added to guide you to massage it evenly onto your skin but I think all of us could do a great job even without the fake dye.
I use this oil as a last step in my night time routine since it should help to penetrate your other products deeper, thus making them work better. Usually 2-3 drops are enough to use all over my face and neck. Your face might have a blue tint and this by no means is a 'sinks in right away' product so I would recommend to wait a few minutes before you lay on your white pillow cases (yes, it will transfer). Also the scent is not great but it fades away after few minutes.
So what is all the fuzz about? This stuff actually is a magic in a bottle. The morning after your skin will feel and look visibly better, your pores will be reduced and you will have glowy skin which won't be greasy. It actually does wonders for your skin and the results are amazing, even after one night use which is why it has become a stable part of my every day night time routine.
If you are looking for retinol with benefits of face oil and don't mind splurging £85.00 (ouch, sob) then this is an amazing product which delivers visible results overnight. I got mine here.
Have you had the opportunity to try any of Sunday Riley's products? Do you think they are worth the splurge?
